Exciting news! As of November 4th, El Sargento now has its own community market every Monday, running through the end of March. The Mercado Cultural features free live music, yoga, meditation, food, educational workshops and vendors. Camp Dancing Birds has an arts & crafts booth and will be hosting a Kids Makers Fair as soon as we have enough kids!

We welcome young entrepreneurs to sign up and bring their homemade goods & wares to sell at the market. Come learn first-hand what it takes to start and run a business, and make new friends! 

Kids are welcome to join anytime!

Cost: 300MXN one-time membership fee (includes 1st market);

thereafter, 10% of total earnings at each market

Location: Camp Dancing Birds

Let's have fun while writing about things that are relevant to us, for real audiences!

Students will spend the first part of class writing freely in their journals and playing fun writing-prompt games, followed by a practical grammar lesson. Then we will work on real-life writing projects, either in small breakout groups or individually.

Lessons will cover topics in grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and paragraph flow. We will discuss the different purposes of writing, such as communication, education, entertainment and persuasion.

Each student will receive personalized feedback and support. The goal of the class is for students to relax and gain confidence expressing themselves in writing. All ages are welcome, though some foundational writing experience is recommended.

This intensive workshop is  to prepare young actors for success in the audition room. Kids will learn to:

• Develop their stage presence
• Project their voices with clarity
• Deliver standout monologues
• Handle cold script readings like pros
• Practice Spanish script reading; and
• Learn visualization & mindfulness techniques to help prepare & relax.

The workshop will include personalized feedback and guidance so that students leave with the tools and confidence needed to ace their next audition and make a lasting impression on casting directors.
